PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

SOFAD wishes to respect privacy and protect personal information when collecting, handling, storing, communicating, and destroying data.

SOFAD has adopted rules governing the management of personal files per the provisions of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. These rules apply to personal information that SOFAD collects, holds, uses, or communicates to third parties within the meaning of Article 1525 of the Civil Code of Québec. These rules apply to information held by SOFAD, regardless of the nature of the medium or the form in which it is accessible: written, graphic, sound, visual, computerized, or other.

Inventory of personal information files

SOFAD adheres to the regulations outlined in the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (RLRQ c P-39.1) and the provisions of Law 25 - Act to Modernize Legislative Regulations concerning the Protection of Personal Information. We maintain an up-to-date inventory of personal information files in accordance with these laws.

These files are readily accessible, allowing any citizen to inquire about the personal information that SOFAD may have on them.

Protecting your personal information is the cornerstone of our organization's ethics and values. It will always remain one of our top priorities, in compliance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. SOFAD appoints Edgardo Romero as its Chief Privacy Officer.

As the person in charge, Mr. Romero will ensure that SOFAD continues to follow best practices in managing personal information.
