Algebraic and Graphical Modelling is the first in a series of three Secondary III mathematics courses in the Diversified Basic Education Program. Its goal is to enable learners to deal with situations that need to be represented with an algebraic or graphical model expressing a relation. By the end of this course, learners will be able to use different strategies and types of reasoning to solve situational problems by representing relationships between quantities. This learning guide contains five learning situations and is accompanied by two scored activities.
Inequalities and inequations
• Inequality relation;
• Solving first-degree equations and inequalities in one variable;
• Dependence between the variables of a situation;
